Henrik The Artist Flips Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch” in Adorable New Rework
This Valentine’s Day, Norwegian producer Henrik The Artist shares a bubbly new rendition of Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch” on Mad Decent. In his quintessential vein of ultra-cute production, Henrik gives the iconic Eurodance chart topper a fitting 2018 update for all of his Internet friends.
Henrik shares his inspiration for the release, “We kind of did the song to honor the one and only queen of dance and pay our respect for the wonders she has brought to the world. It’s time to give back for all we have been given. So Cascada, please be our Valentine?”
Henrik releases his loving rework of the German hit with a beautifully niche video, starring German actress and Cascada doppelganger Rebekka Mueller. Directed by Paul Devro and shot on location at a Scandinavian-designed mansion in Hollywood Hills, the ethos of the original track dripped from each wall of the film’s creation. Watch the video above.
For Henrik, it’s not just about music. It’s about friends and art. Friends that he meets online: Ryan Hemsworth, who released his debut single “Naked” via Secret Songs; club friends like London’s Birthdays and Power Lunches; collaborator friends like Kochi Boy and Mad Decent affiliate LIZ, who was featured on Henrik’s 2016 release “Wild Target” (premiered on Nest HQ here). Before "Everytime We Touch," Henrik released “Favorite Girl” on Mad Decent’s Good Enuff, bringing his happy-go-lucky music to the forefront for his beloved fans everywhere.
"Everytime We Touch" and any artwork Henrik touches will continue to spread his light-hearted message to his fans

About Mad Decent:
Mad Decent is a Philadelphia via Los Angeles-based American record label founded by Diplo. The label has helped introduce Brazilian baile funk and Angolan kuduro to clubs around the world. Recently, it has popularized moombahton, a genre of electronic dance music created by DJ Dave Nada. The genre on the label was mostly popularized by Dillon Francis after collaborating with Diplo on Francis's 2012 track "Que Que". The label is also known for its series of concerts in major cities known as the Mad Decent Block Party.
Mad Decent was founded in 2006 by Diplo. In 2010, the label moved from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. In 2011, it announced the launch of the imprint label Jeffrees as "an outlet to curate and promote new music that errs on the side of experimental, in keeping with the label’s original mission.
The label gained more attention in 2012 and 2013, with the worldwide success of Baauer's single "Harlem Shake", which went viral on YouTube.[
Since 2008, the label has created a multiple city Mad Decent Block Party tour throughout the United States. This travelling festival began at a much smaller scale with simply a rented tent, dunk tank and bbq on a Philadelphia street (Block of 12th St. and Spring Garden St.). The event is in line with the overall concept of the label showcasing global pop and dance music. The featured artists at the events has expanded from featuring Mad Decent's roster to high profile artists such as Matt and Kim and Outkast.
For Christmas 2013, the label re-released various singles from the label mixed with Christmas songs. These were compiled in an eight-track EP titled A Very Decent Christmas. Mad Decent has seen four subsequent Christmas albums out on the label since the initial compilation.
2015 saw Mad Decent release Major Lazer's "Lean On," which Spotify named the most streamed song of all time that year
